Yes, it can but if it’s a working gas fire with a single course of bricks then it’s not advisable. Under normal conditions, if the fireplace is electric and has a mantlepiece to deflect the heat should be fine … Real Coal and wood fires are much hotter and could be problematic. Our advice is that you check the chimney breast where the screen will be mounted; it should be no hotter than 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Or book an engineer and we will take a look free of charge.

A power socket is not essential but it is recommended as it looks a lot tidier with all cables hidden. If not we can run a long mains cable through the wall to a local mains socket when possible.

Yes if you want us to hide the wires behind a plasterboard wall then this is what we will need to do. The TV Wall Mounting engineer can cut a hole in the wall behind the screen and then another hole below and pull cables through the holes. Also, most new buildings are of this type of construction so its great for wall mounting your TV. For external walls, the gap behind the wall would not be enough to pull the wires through and a groove would have to cut into the plasterboard and plastered over once the cables have been laid in the wall. or alternatively, we can take the cables external and put them in conduit and then come back in behind the TV.

Yes,  TV Wall Mounting services can mount any screen on a plasterboard stud wall or dry lined wall with the correct type of bracket and fixings. The TV Wall Mounting Engineer will spread the load over the plasterboard by fixing into metal or wooden studs using a stud locator to locate them. All our brackets have a wide footprint to enable us to locate the studs while still maintaining the screen position.
